Vanderbilt professor proposes a different way to finance college

Vanderbilt University finance professor Miguel Palacios, assistant professor of finance, has pitched an alternative to a federal student loan system, and it is becoming a part of a national conversation led by conservatives. The idea allows investors to pay for a student’s education in exchange for a cut of the student’s income for a certain number of years after graduation.
